摘要:
控制平面与数据平面的分离和交换节点的可编程性一直是计算机网络界追求的目标。过去对此没有足够的应用场景及需求,很多相关研究项目因此搁浅。随着以大数据和云计算为特征的现代数据中心日益盛行,以分离控制平面与数据平面为基础的软件定义网络成为研究热点。首先讨论软件定义网络背后的应用需求及分离的必要性,分离原则与软件定义网络的关联以及其本质特征与体系结构,最后给出结论及未来的研究展望。
Abstract:
Separation between the control and data planes,and programmable networks are the goals that network workers have been pursuing for a long time.Due to the lack of application scenarios and requirements over the past few years,many related research projects have run aground.As modern data center characterized by big data and cloud computing is becoming more prevalent,Software Defined Networking (SDN) based on separation between the control and data planes has attracted increasing attention.In this paper,application requirements and separation necessity behind SDN are talked about first.And then,the correlation between SDN and separationlaw is analyzed,and the architecture and essence of SDN are deeply discussed.Finally,a conclusion is given and future trend of research on SDN is forecasted.
